I have been working with dogs since 2019 and have loved every minute of it!

Covering Watnall, Kimberley and surrounding areas, I pride myself on offering a friendly and professional service for you and your dog. I have been working with dogs since 2019 and have loved every minute of it. When you trust me with your dog, you can be sure that I will treat them with the same loving kindness that I do my own dog. Every dog is different, with their own personality quirks, which is what makes getting to know them so rewarding. I understand that our canine companions are irreplaceable family members so it can be difficult to leave them with a stranger, so here is a bit about my background.

About me

After studying Zoology at University with a goal of having a career working with animals, I ended up working jobs in Recruitment and then Marketing throughout my 20s. Through a stroke of luck however, I was made redundant in 2019 and took the opportunity to pursue a career that I truly love! Now in my 30s, I feel as though I have found my calling working with dogs.

I am fully insured and canine first aid trained, and along with years of hands-on experience working with dogs, I also completed my training with the Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training. I am DBS checked to give you peace of mind when looking after you best friend.

I am always kind and gentle when walking and caring for dogs and believe that kindness and consistency are the best way to earn their trust. I have a good understanding of dog behaviour so I can recognise when your dog might be feeling uncomfortable or unsure of a situation so I can provide encouragement and reassurance where necessary.

I love exploring Nottingham’s many parks and woods on our walks and always try to make the walks mentally stimulating for the dogs. Wherever possible I especially like to visit places where it is safe to give them some off lead time to sniff and romp around.

My own dog, Omar, is pictured here and occasionally accompanies me on walks too. My best friend and loyal companion, he is 8 years old and a big softy who loves people and other dogs equally. He is especially good at socialising puppies and giving nervous dogs a boost due to his unshakeable positivity and ability to take any situation in his stride.
